I bring people change and transformation experience to complement the core services we offer to our clients.  It’s brilliant to be working with our team of highly experienced specialists at Hatmill.

Bringing the visibility and structure to people-related change that enables clients to reduce risk and increase confidence in their ability to maximise benefits from supply chain and logistic investments.

I’ve been working with Hatmill since April 2021, following 25+ years of designing and delivering large scale, cross-industry programmes, both in-house and in my own consultancy practice.  I bring people change and transformation experience to complement the core services we offer to our clients.  It’s brilliant to be working with our team of highly experienced specialists at Hatmill.  As well as making me feel very welcome, they’ve already started to spot where I can contribute and add even greater value to our clients.

My career started on a graduate scheme designing dealing-room systems for merchant banks and quickly progressed to management consultancy with EY, where my introduction to programme management at scale began.  I was involved with UK and international clients across luxury retail, mergers and acquisitions and the creative industry.

Moving from EY took me to Home Retail Group and continued my career in designing and leading strategic change across all central and operational areas.

When leading change, I have seen first-hand the importance of considering the whole organisation.  Spotting the connections, trends and blockers across leadership, capability (process, tech and people) organisation design and culture brings opportunities that are often key to realising the full potential of an investment.

As in independent consultant, I worked with large retailers including Tesco and Marks and Spencer, but also supported transformation in passenger transport and home delivery.  The variety in clients has meant I’ve built up a flexible and adaptable change approach, can quickly get up to speed with new organisations and focused on the real problems to solve.

I have a particular interest in enterprise agility – helping organisations to better respond to change themselves, without the need to engage external resource.  Where possible, I support them to own the change, lead it with confidence and to create and adapt the best possible tools to deliver their agenda.

Change programmes can be a positive experience for those involved when we take care to note what people think, are thoughtful in the choices and decisions we make, and keep everyone aligned to a clear direction and rationale for the change.

By improving their demand forecast, we helped one client save £3m in agency staffing costs (that’s an 18% reduction).
