Josh Mannix

I have held several operational roles across Warehouse and Transport functions within Asda and managed teams of up to 40 operatives.

Building relationships with clients to identify problems and land sustainable change through automation and innovation.

I joined Hatmill after spending 5 years on the Asda Logistics Graduate Scheme. Initially, I joined Asda on an Industrial Placement whilst completing my degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Northumbria University. After graduating with First Class Honours, I was invited to join Asda to complete their Logistics Graduate Scheme. I have held several operational roles across Warehouse and Transport functions managing teams up to 40 operatives. I have worked within an Engineering and Innovation team and have experience working with a range of automation and robotics with a specialist focus on Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR).

Key Achievements:

  • Project Lead on £1m+ AGV project for pallet movements in an ambient DC. Experience with project managing multiple AGV and AMR Proof of Concepts across several DC Formats. Building business cases to support the subsequent approval process.
  • Supported an online fashion retailer with a start-up operation. From project management through to solution design.
  • Led the trial of Semi-Autonomous LLOPs and supported the approval of a £multimillion contract to rollout out 300+ LLOP’s.
  • Developed a Transport Trailer Repatriation Tool to improve Trailer availability across a Transport Network.

The high calibre of consultants at Hatmill combined with the unique culture makes it a very exciting place to be.

By improving their demand forecast, we helped one client save £3m in agency staffing costs (that’s an 18% reduction).
